Extending the Kingdom of God

changing hearts - changing lives - changing the world

Welcome to West Suffolk Vineyard Church. We'd love you to join us as we worship together and serve together in the church and within the community.

Centered on Bury St Edmunds in the heart of East Anglia, this Vineyard church was planted in West Suffolk (UK) in the summer of 2000.

The senior pastors are Chris and Maggie Parsons, who also
currently help lead the National Church Development Team
and serve as Regional Leaders for London and the South East.

Festive Hampers

If you were in Church on Sunday you will have heard Neil & Sheila chatting about their experiences in Cincinnati and the prophetic turkeys!

They are piloting a similar idea here in Bury St Edmunds on Saturday 17th December meeting at 10.00am at their home (The Glen, Eastgate Street, BSE).

Festive Hampers - The idea is that you, or your family, or your kinship, or a bunch of you commit to buying the things that are needed for a Christmas Hamper (Neil & Sheila have a recommended shopping list). Then, once the hampers are prepared, everyone will meet together and ask God where the hampers should be delivered.

It sounds like great fun. They already have names of some people who are going and are keen to include anyone who’d like to join them. Could you phone or email them directly, or call us at the office, to let them know if you’ll be joining them.

Cincinnati Open House

Would you like to know more about Neil & Sheila Vollar’s visit to Cincinnati?  They are hosting an Open House – with hot chocolate and cake – when they will be sharing stories of their time away, showing photos/videos of the Healing Centre and other things that they got up to.

If you want to be inspired – not just by their visit, but by what God might do with us here at WSVC, do get along and join them on either:

Friday 10th December or Sunday 12th December

7.00 at The Glen, Eastgate Street, Bury St Edmunds.

If you’d planning to go please let Neil & Sheila know, or give the office a call.

Pentecost 2011

MP3: A God Breathed Church  (click here for the slides)

Listen to the MP3 and view the powerpoint for this talk from Chris looking at the event of Pentecost in the Bible (Acts 2: 1-21) and how God launched his church. Chris then looks at what God is asking of our church today, along with some blue-sky thinking of where we might go and an invitation to help get us there.

The "Riches in Heaven" leaflet that is talked about is downloadable by clicking here or clicking the image on the left.

Vineyard National Celebration

It was great to see 210 adults along with 20 children at our Cambridge venue, part of the Vineyard National Celebration on Saturday that took place in 10 other locations across the UK and Ireland. We'll hopefully get some photos here soon.

Here are some of the videos that we saw on the day:

Vineyard National Celebration: Commitment Form

If you were unable to fill in this form at one of our events, or weren't present at one of the events but would like to have the opportunity to fill in this form, you can download it by visiting the national website here:
